Suitcases

Most foster kids move an average of seven times while in the
system. Most carry their stuff from place to place in garbage bags.
Some nice people decided to start a program to donate suitcases and
duffel bags to these children to make this process more pleasant.
Suitcases for Kids has locations in ten or so states.
You can also try:
Maryland, Bowie: Children to Children
accepts duffel bags -- near and near-new only -- and stuffed animals in
the same condition to give to social workers who pass 'em on to kids
who need a boost. The program was founded by a kid, Makenzie Snyder.
Michigan, Lansing: Lansing Jaycees
North Carolina, Hickory: Suitcases for Kids
