Suits and Professional Wear
For women only:
Whether you're a businesswoman
who constantly updates her wardrobe or a former corporate drone who's
scorned her professional wear in favor of jeans and t-shirts, you may
have some perfectly usable suits kicking around. You can donate those
to women who are moving from welfare to work through Dress for Success.
They have numerous locations throughout the U.S. and are accepting
interview appropriate skirt and pantsuits, blouses, blazers and
professional shoes. They are particularly in need of larger size suits.
You can also try the Women's Alliance, which has multiple chapters.
California (northern), multiple locations: Wardrobe for Opportunity
Massachusetts, Malden: Tailored for Success
Washington, D.C.: Suited for Change
Taking both women's and men's professional clothes:
California, San Francisco: A Miner Miracle Accepts interview clothing for men and women that is cleaned, pressed and on hangers.
Men's only:

want anymore, don't need anymore, or never liked to begin with. Whether
you're motivated by a natural sense
of thrift, an environmental conscience, a desire to help others -- or
all three -- here are some suggestions as to what to do with many of
